Our skilled and experienced design engineers use the latest CAD technology to support architects, structural engineers, and contractors. While all pits follow a standard basic format, each can be customised to meet individual customer needs, offering an almost endless range of combinations. Bespoke designs for piled sites can also be developed with our Structural Engineer. 

Premier Pits are built from high-quality mild steel, MIG-welded to create a completely watertight structure. When choosing a pit manufacturer, it’s essential to ensure the product meets the highest manufacturing standards. With Premier Pits, you can buy with confidence—every unit is fully compliant with BS EN 1090, UKCA & CE, and ISO 45001:2018 SSIP.

Premier Pits are shot blasted and painted with etch primer, two pack epoxy white gloss on the walls to ensure a clean a bright finish, then kitted out with Zone 2 LED lights, Elefant Tread Anti-Slip Stairs, an escape ladder (or secondary set of stairs depending on length) and an airline. 

Completed pits are delivered to site by road, with lengths of up to 23 metres transported as a single piece, or in sections. 

Once delivered to site, the pits are installed by our dedicated installation teams, all fully employed by Premier Pits - not subcontractors. This ensures peace of mind, as we guarantee the work throughout the entire process, not just the manufacture of the pit.

Before handover, we make sure the pit and surrounding area are clean and tidy, with all waste materials removed. For new build projects, we revisit the site just before the building is handed over to the client, ensuring everything is in perfect order.

Over time, the needs of an existing pit may evolve. Premier Pits provides modification solutions such as pit extensions, tunnel additions, and the installation of sumps for equipment like brake testers

Even after many years of use, a Premier Pit can be given a new lease of life with our refurbishment service. Each pit is shot-blasted and repainted to its original specification, restoring its appearance to the day it was first installed. We can also carry out modifications, such as replacing airlines and upgrading lighting.
